Overview

Aseptic pink guava pulp rich in natural colour and tropical aroma

TropiPuree Naturals is one of the leading pink guava pulp and puree manufacturers and suppliers from India, sourcing from the primary growing belts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.

Pink guava is distinct from white guava in one technically significant way: its pink-red flesh colour comes from lycopene and carotenoid content. This naturally occurring pigment is why beverage and nectar manufacturers specify pink guava over white guava, because it delivers a deep reddish-pink hue to finished products without artificial colourants.

Pink guava pulp registers a Brix of 9-12°, with pH below 4.0 and acidity of 0.45-0.55% as citric acid. The lower Brix makes it a natural fit for low-sugar beverage formulations, where its tropical aroma and natural sweetness reduce dependence on added sugar without compromising flavour intensity. It also contains approximately 200 to 230 mg of Vitamin C per 100 g, supporting clean-label nutritional positioning.

The puree is processed from fully ripened, non-GMO pink guavas with no added sugar, preservatives, or artificial colour. A Certificate of Analysis is issued with every batch, covering Brix, pH, acidity, microbiology, and colour.

Manufacturing Process

Controlled pink guava pulp processing

From selected ripe pink guavas to aseptic packing, each step is structured to protect colour, aroma, grit control and product consistency.

Fully ripened pink guavas are received at the facility and inspected for maturity, colour depth, and freedom from damage. Only fruit with adequate ripeness and characteristic pink flesh colour is accepted, as lycopene content is directly tied to ripeness at harvest.

  1. 01

    Receiving and maturity inspection

Fruit is inspected for maturity, colour depth and freedom from damage before acceptance.

  2. 02

    Sorting and washing

Accepted fruit is sorted on conveyors and washed in two stages using chlorinated water and clean water.

  3. 03

    Pulp extraction

Washed guavas are fed into a pulper-finisher to extract pulp while separating seeds, skin and coarse fibre.

  4. 04

    Grit control and detection

Extracted pulp is decanted to control grit levels, then passed through magnetic traps and metal detectors.

  5. 05

    Quality checks and sterilisation

In-house checks are conducted for Brix, pH, acidity, colour and microbial load before thermal sterilisation.

  6. 06

    Aseptic filling and storage

Sterilised puree is filled into 215 kg aseptic bag-in-drum packaging or 3.1 kg OTS cans and stored at ambient temperature until dispatch.

What is the difference between pink guava and white guava pulp?
